Mr Penguin and the Lost Treasure

I was very charmed by Mr. Penguin and even more so by his sidekick, Colin, an especially clever spider with awesome kung-fu moves. They set off on their first job as professional Adventurers, which has all the elements of an excellent adventure story: jewel thieves, an old museum with hidden passageways, bloodthirsty alligators, and plot twists galore. It's basically Indiana Jones minus the colonialism, plus a penguin. Fast-paced, funny, and exciting, with delightful illustrations throughout, this is a great early chapter book for a reluctant reader or anyone who loves adventure.
