It took me a little longer to finish the second book of the Outlander series. I loved the first one and have to admit that most of the second book I did not enjoy that much. It was interesting to read about their social life in France but in general I felt like it's a bit too flat and not a lot happened. Even when they returned to Scotland I was not completely convinced but I hoped that the story would improve and in the end, it did, when the war started. So the last 1/4th of the book is definitely great again and I could not put it down and was so happy to read the last sentences of the book to reveal, whatever was revealed then. 😉
