Emily Henry NEVER misses

This, like all her books was showstopping. It was funny, heartwarming AND wrenching, and had that wonderful sprinkle of healing from trauma together that made it all the better. As always we STAN her pathetically obsessed men, who have the emotional capacity of something more advanced than a newly-born muskrat. This was wonderful, this woman is truly one of the most iconic humans ever. 5 stars❤️

Mutual healing strikes again

Two leads who have been hurt by their families and exes, and their relationship as the catalyst for learning and healing themselves. I thought this book was lovely - although I do get tired of this "love can replace therapy" theme that comes up in a lot of hurt/comfort books. But this one was fun, funny, sexy, and I need to lend it to every librarian I know.

fun but too much excessive drinking!!

Set in northern Michigan in the same area my parents had a cottage and so I was flooded with memories of Traverse City and Leelenaw Peninsula and the dunes and cherries. Maybe because of that, I was extra aware of how much their dysfunctional families were completely unlike mine and how much I couldn’t relate to how they respond to that in their adult lives. But also featuring a children’s librarian, so lots to offer! Not enough Cherry Festival!!! And weirdly ZERO Interlochen, which is a big omission.
