Without painting her as some Joan of Arc of Anarchy, this is the story of the anarchist partisan in the Ukraine who influenced the Makhnovist revolt.

Addressing the always relevant questions around the conflict between waging war and creating revolution, creating a common front, and where revolution falls short.

Translated from the French edition.

A hard book to get a hold of but worth it.

5 stars

This book covers in brief most of whats known about a historically overlooked figure of the revolutionary period of Ukraine. It can unfortunately be read in one sitting, but hopefully with the discovery of her diaries some mysteries about an anarchist who did much in such a tragically short life shall be researched further.
