I had a prior acount to keep myself accountable toward reading more. Life happened and I forgot my username and password. So here I am, starting from scratch. I drive truck, so lately I have been getting into audio books, when I run out of podcasts and get bored with music. It's been ten years since I have read much fiction. I read a book every Sunday with my niece over a meeting app to help her improve her english reading and vocabulary. I used to write and will again someday. The end.

Zoe Baker: Means and Ends (2023, AK Press Distribution) 5 stars

Means and Ends is a new overview of the revolutionary strategy of anarchism in Europe …

Intensely detailed

4 stars

Probably one of the most detailed primers on these writers I've found. The author spends a lot of time with Malatesta, which I can't fault her for and actually appreciate. I look foward to the next subject receiving such laser focus.

reviewed The truth about stories by Thomas King (The Massey lectures series)

Thomas King: The truth about stories (2003, House of Anansi Press) 5 stars

A must read

5 stars

I just reread this book out loud with my neice (switching off every two pages) after reading it on my own maybe three times before. There are various points that I cried this time. It's timeless in the sense that nothing has really materially gotten better since the lectures and the book in the past 24 years. I don't remember when I first picked this book up but I do believe it is one of the most important books that I have read in my life.
