Unmentionable

This was a very funny and engaging book and it's a good gateway book to get a person interested in the Victorian period. However, I was a bit confused about why she kept including information about the US and I think even Canada at one point. Different social settings and cultures shouldn't be conflated. I listened to this as an audiobook so I wasn't able to check the sources but again, it was entertaining and peaked my interest so I'll just read other books for more information.

What a boring book. Even the author's asinine narration style can't save this. In fact, I think it actually makes it worse. I got up to page 85 and I refuse to read anymore.
