I love reading and I love books.
I love fantasy and science fiction, so when one of my favourite books gets turned into a film, I generally know that the book will always be better than the movie.
NOT IN THIS CASE!
By all means see the movie, enjoy it, cherish it!
Because the book is so sooooo bad, it's almost as if the movie would have come out first and then someone would have decided to do a horrible but really cheap and really quick book about it.
Don't take me wrong, it's not that the movie was good, it's just that it's watchable... unlike this mind-numbing, boring, I´m-the-first-in-what-will-become-an-awesome-action-packed-franchise-so-buy-the-next-book-now! written rubbish.
So if you have some time to kill (although in this case it would be some time to slaughter) and absolutely NOTHING else to do, do yourself a favour and ram a fork into your frontal lobe instead …
