I hate Backman for making me attached to these characters and care about them as if they were real people, even though i hated the story so much.

So many parts of this book annoyed me, and i'm pretty sure it was supposed to, but I still can't say if it was good or bad to feel annoyed lol.
This book is not a style I ever pick up, but I heard good things and I understand why, the writing is interesting (the word "fat" to describe people was there a little too much though), the characters are its worst and best parts because you sometimes want to shake them or hug them..
I have to say there were many too many pov for me, I think, to feel really attached, plus the sensible subjects made it hard to read at times. To conclude, I don't like hockey and its trashy culture and men, but still, I trust one(1) boy called Amat and the women to make it better in Beartown at least..
Read a second time for book club, still love it. Can't wait for the 2nd in the series to come out.
Stunning. Hard to describe. I’d probably say it’s more 4.5 because it’s not without flaws but it’s the type of book where you will finish it and just sit and hold it and look at the cover for a while and try to digest what you just read.
