Finally some payoff and I have some idea of why I've stuck with this series. All of the mythology aside, this turns out to be Laura's coming of age story. There are some courageous sequences in this volume, yet it all serves the story well. While I'm looking forward to the conclusion, it's hard to see how they could top this volume.
