Review of 'As a Man Thinketh (The Tarcher Family Inspirational Library)' on 'Goodreads'
3 stars
I can't say much about this book... Oh yes, how does it have such a high rating?
It gravitates around a central idea: You become what you think (paraphrased). And while some ideas about that are nice (not I did not say mind blowing), other ideas are exaggerated and unfeasible (like in the movie 'The Secret').
Some nice ideas that I remember from the book:
Find a purpose for your life so you can focus your thoughts better
and always strive to be good, pure, strong etc (whatever that means).
I wouldn't recommend this book to any of my friends, but I would give them the summary from above. These things are common knowledge by now, right? If not... maybe you should pick up the book ;)
