As with all of this series: Much fun.

The Bookworld's leading enforcement officer, Thursday Next, has been forced into semiretirement following an assassination attempt. When Thursday's former SpecOps division is reinstated, she assumes she's the obvious choice to lead the Literary Detectives. But our banged-up heroine is no spring chicken, and her old boss has a cushier job in mind for her: chief librarian of the Swindon All-You- Can-Eat at Fatso's Drink Not Included Library. But where Thursday goes, trouble follows ... (Bestseller).
As with all of this series: Much fun.
Fforde does it again.
Fforde has managed to give us a new angle on Thursday Next yet again.
This time it's not fictional Thursday, it's middle age Thursday recovering from her wounds.
Fforde manages to give us more of the same while making enough changes to keep it interesting.
The Woman who Died Allot is not the end of the series, but yet it does provide an ending. So much so, that an epilogue is required to make sure we understand that it's not all over yet.
This ranks pretty high on my favorites in the series even though I didn't 100% understand everything that was going on with the Dark Reading Matter storyline. But I like that Thursday has gotten older and even though I really enjoy her as the protag, I wouldn't mind reading other books set in this world as well.
