Review of 'The Secret' on 'Storygraph'

I found this surprisingly helpful. It's all about positive thinking and the energy you attract. Norman Vincent Peale, Dale Carnegie, Tony Robbins all come to mind. However, this books was more concise, especially compared to Robbins and more contemporary compare to the other two.

Focusing on positive energy is the biggest take away and I realize how much I don't. Visualization is another tool I found immediately useful. I've used vision boards in the past with great success and for whatever reason put them aside.

This and easy, positive, quick read. No complaints!

Review of 'THE SECRET' on 'Storygraph'

Since my first reading of this book, I have changed my mind. This is an accessible introduction to the concept of the Law of Attraction, but you will find that, if you are successful at first, like I was, you will reach a stalling point, and fall hard. The book is very damaging, as it encourages toxic positivity. To avoid this, I recommend reading Esther Hicks or watching her content on youtube, if you can get past the woo-woo aspect which will put off many sceptics.
