Review of 'Joan Didion : the 1960s & 70s : Run river, Slouching towards Bethlehem, Play it as it lays, A book of common prayer, The white album' on 'Goodreads'
5 stars
Though one or two of the pieces in this collection weren’t enthralling, I found the bulk intriguing, though-provoking, and profound. Didion has a way with words that, from what I’ve read, has never been replicated my another journalist or non-fiction writer. Joan Didion never disappoints.
