The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favourite series and Fairest is a fine addition to the story. It covers the life of Queen Levana up to the start of book 1 and it tells how she becomes the woman she does. It is quite tragic at times and you can't help but feel sorry for her now and then. The book also introduces some of the other characters that had featured in previous books, Winter, Jacin and Sybil.
Marissa's writing is still strong and the book has been edited well. This is a must read for fans of the series.
