I'm generally a fan of the BFBs, even for titles I've never played (and likely never will play) myself. Having finished OWs not too long ago for the first time, this made for a great reading that puts the game into context and argues very convincingly for its artistic merits.
Just don't read it before you've played it (or, if you're certain you'll never will)
