I like this retired Bosch, honestly. Character is mainly the same, but some good changes.

Only okay –
There were 2 completely unrelated cases, once probably closer to what detectives actually have to do, but it's not totally satisfying for the reader. Jumping back and forth between scenarios and situations was more than a little unsettling! And it was totally unclear when the 1st one ended and whether there was ever any cleaning up of details (perhaps I missed it?) Michael Connelly has been a favorite author, but my experience with the last couple books of his that I have read has totally turned me off :-(.
MC hit it out of the park once again. Mickey Haller and Harry Bosch together are superb. Well before I finished, I had already figured out what the next book would be about. Can’t wait.
Another highly entertaining Bosch novel. I have read them all and there hasn't been a single bad one. Mad props to Connelly for keeping the quality consistently high. The more common cooperation between Bosch and Haller is something I enjoy, because together they achieve so much more.
