Esin/William reviewed Diary of a Wimpy Kid: No Brainer by Jeff Kinney (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, #18)
Very fun
4 stars
Kinney is great at setting up Chekhov's Guns and foreshadowing, but I feel like the events in this book were a bit of a stretch, as in a bit too unbelievable for the suspension of disbelief. The pacing especially around the end was a bit too rushed in my opinion. I do really love the parts in the beginning in which the school takes in a ton of sponsorships and the books in the library getting censored, and those were some of the more realistic parts of the book. So yeah, not the best, but still pretty good!!
