Great read, nice story and good resolution. Yeah it has some problems, but take it as it is: a horror novel written by a Western author. Not a ethnographic piece of how wonderful Calcutta is
I think I read it in one or two days. Really captivating, and really creepy.
Song of Kali is a grim tale of evil and resentment where ‘what happened’ is very much a subjective matter. The reader has to work a lot out alone without much help from the author.
