Review of 'The Compound Effect: Jumpstart Your Income, Your Life, Your Success' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
Pretty great fluff to solid ratio for this type of book. There's some expected self-help pep talk, but there's lots of pragmatic advice too. And yeah, there's some self-promotion, but there's quality free resources provided too. Overall it provides a good road map to pursuing clear goals with thoughtful, consistent actions.
Some topics I liked were tracking your personal data, plans of action, consistency, delayed gratification, habits, luck, generosity, momentum, and routines. Hardy surprised me with some relationship advice in a few spots too, like his thanks giving journal and relationship review.
