Listened to the audiobook version. The voice actors did an excellent job, and the stuiod editing was great. Having character actors interact in "real time" while listening was cool. I rate this book as a solid 4, as, while I did enjoy it, I found the "third act" to be pretty telegraphed.

Review of 'Departure' on 'Goodreads'

The story was interesting, it was a good adventure, and it had intriguing pieces, and it definitely was a page turner. It was a fun read, definitely not boring.

I have to admit that this particular way of dealing with time travel isn't my favorite (I won't spoil it by telling you.) The characters were kinda flat and not especially interesting, frankly. I liked them enough, but I didn't get enough of a sense of them to really feel like I cared about what happened to them.
