The book had some interesting insights into a topic that I had only heard about as a sidenote. "Panzerschokolade" is a well-known term, so it was known that soldiers got drugs to perform longer. But the full extent of drug usage among the general populace, the army and the top level of government was new to me. At times the author tries a bit too hard to push the drug angle as an explanation for everything, but overall an interesting book.
