I’ve read a number of idiotica, and this one is the laziest of them all. It is basically the blog Not One-Off Britishisms (as one word, no space or hyphen, dot com) slightly polished up and sold for rather a lot. And the blog entries are lazily done. Reading about somebody looking at Google ngram graphs and the OED is more interesting than watching paint dry. It is not interesting enough to keep me entertained for page after page. Still three stars: it is not in any way actively bad. It’s just not good.
