DBH writes with his usual style, but as essays designed to debunk or refute or respond to the New Atheists, it seems too breezy. He seems to make the same sweeping generalizations that he accuses his opponents of, without justifying those charges. I have little doubt that Hart’s conclusions are right, but they seem troublingly unproven here.
