Review of 'Avempartha' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

At the end of the book Sullivan wrote that the entire story was created up front instead of sequels being created after the fact. This allowed him to slowly and complexity and depth to characters as the story unfolds. Avempartha is showing signs of that as there is progression on character depth and their history. While not all of the reveals have been surprising it's encouraging to see that the characters have a plan in the Riyria Revelations.

Avempartha continues with the short, sweet and enjoyable fantasy that Crown Conspiracy set up. Familiar characters return, some surprising deaths and there are enemies maintaining a 'frenemy' alliance.

A great read and will continue on with the series!
