All of my same criticisms still hold, so I won't bother repeating them. Something that I'm now noticing about this series that I hadn't before is that the threat of the week is built up as quite a bigger danger than it ends up being. Arthur's dread about the skinless boy didn't end up amounting to much, and the massive threat with the New Nithlings ended up in one very brief "battle" scene, and then it was ended. I appreciate the build-up, I suppose, but it never quite leads to any "epic" ending scene that I hope for. I will say that this book has quite a bit more exposition into the story arc of the rest of the trilogy, which is refreshing.
