Beginners guide to Common Lisp

5 stars

This is indeed a very gentle introduction to lisp, common lisp, to be exact. Readers w/ prior programming may find the pacing slow. I didn't mind. This is in contrast to Practical Common Lisp, which is more dense, less academic, and covers more advanced topics. I do love the academic nature of this book & that there are exercises, mini projects, and answers to the questions to check your work & understanding. If you are a beginner, don't want to feel rushed and want to take it nice & slow, I think you'll feel at home with this book.
