I think this was recommended on the BrownBagDC twitter chat that the DC Library runs each Wednesday, because it was on my to-read list despite the fact that romance is not my preferred genre. This book didn't convert me, but if you ARE a fan of bodice-rippers, you'll probably enjoy it, because there are a lot of very descriptive sex scenes. What I enjoyed: it was nice to read a novel that wasn't about WHITE romance, and the author brought up legit concerns related to race at various points in the book. The two main characters were well developed despite having what could've been caricature-esque professions (Hollywood starlet and ad exec) and the dialogue reads very naturally. I'm glad I checked it out, even if it's not my regular thing.
