Be it family members or members of ones team at work, there are days when all that one hears are complains, complains and complains. Sometimes it feels like no matter what one does, one is just not good enough. There is always something for those around and oneself to complain about.

And yes, of course! those complains must be heard with compassion and addressed with love. But sometimes it is just so overwhelming, no matter how hard one tries.

If only one just steps a little outside and looks at these complains from a distance, it all appears so very trivial.

And this book gives just that - the perspective.

Besides being so cute, endearing, moving and lovely, this beautiful book gives that perspective.

This was a great book. I had lots of fun reading each crayon's complaints in a different voice, and the kids loved examining the different pictures. Their favorites are the Rainbow Crayon at the end, and poor Peach Crayon. They giggle so much over Peach's issue. :)
Instant classic in this house, on par with "The Book With No Pictures."

I am of course biased towards the children's books that I grew up with, but I didn't really find this to be something I'd want to read to a young kid. The crayons write letters to the kid, and most of them arecomplaining about their overuse/lack of use/other crayons. I understand imaginative children's books where things come to life, etc., but I didn't really like this because it made the crayons seem whiny. Crayons shouldn't be upset that they're little tiny stubs, they should be happy. Especially since this kid chose to color and develop his motor skills instead of just sitting watching cartoons. Very meh.
