Me and Jasper Jones got off on the wrong foot. One of my pet hates is when an innocent character goes and hides evidence and well that's how this book starts. I always want to yell at them, don't do it! However as the book continues you realise this is small town Australia int he 60s and prejudice is ripe. I loved the relationships between the children, I'm sure I've heard the favourite super-hero argument so many times. I liked all the little references to literature contemporary to the time, especially Eliza's Holly Golightly moments.
