Didn't mind it, but despite its lofty themes it feels a bit slight. It's kind of just this woman who goes into the lion's den and makes the same bad decision over and over again. The plot is purely a vehicle for anecdotes about objectivity, predictive policing, surveillance. But the anecdotes wear out their welcome after a while... I was aching to get back to the characters, who were actually quite compelling when they were allowed to exist. But by the time the story focused on them the story was almost over. A bit of a shame, but I'm glad I read it. Some genuinely disturbing little nuggets of near-future dystopia in there.
