This book was a lot of fun. It's a great story about a Swedish man who somehow becomes pivotal in many of the key historical events of the 20th Century...and escapes from an old age home. :)
A delightful if somewhat ridiculous romp through time...
Amazing, a very unusual book - though actually akin to many of the novels of the 1700s. Mind boggling scope and very very clever both in the overall 'sweep' but also the one liners....
For me the best parts were the 'present'
There were time I had to stop reading as I could not stop laughing.
Wonder if anyone is eyeing this as a film......
