Another book that I will have to read... some day ! I've read all other books written by Damasio, but this one... is the first one Damasio tries to see Self-Awareness from a evolutionary perspective.
Quoting Damasio;
"The mind and the behaviour are the constant result of the working of the nuclei galaxies and the cortical conglomerates, joined together by convergent and divergent neural projections. If those galaxies are well-organized and if it work in harmony, the result is poetry. Another way, it may be madness."
