Review of 'Blood Noir (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, Book 16)' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

For the first half of this book, I was reflecting that I like the books set in St. Louis with Anita's whole clan more than the one-on-one character builders set elsewhere. Obviously, we get more character building when it is the one-on-one set elsewhere. This book seems to have had less sex than the previous few (or many) books in the series. It was a nice reprieve. But, I like action. I like that, for once, Anita's powers didn't grow and that it is all attributable to the most powerful vampire in the world.
