This collection was fun. The frenetic pace of The Warrior's Apprentice especially had me hooked. I had high expectations after the first books, and these solidified my opinion of the series as excellent.
These stories are excellent. Miles Vorkosigan seems to live in a constant state of "making it up as he goes along", which you only see because he's the viewpoint character.
Miles' story feels like a roleplaying campaign. (in fact, Steve Jackson Games is making one on the subject) There's just the right amount of absurdity to make this world feel real and alive.
