3 stars
When I finished this book, I thought: It was like the author had taken one second's worth of all the misogyny in Australia - right now, one second - and turned that into a powder which created this fever dream, this story.
I then read a couple of articles about the author and the book, and it turns out I wasn't far off the truth.

I give it 3 out of 5 stars because:
- it was mostly clever and kept me interested
- it is not a pleasant story to now have in my brain, and in a way I wish I hadn't read it
- I was frustrated by quite a few aspects of the plot and storytelling (I've seen quite a few people are frustrated by the ending, and yes, I thought the ending wasn't very good and I'm curious about the author's original ending - but there are also many other frustrations)
