Review of 'Coda Vol. 1' on 'Goodreads'

A post apocalyptic fantasy story, imagine Sauron won but now everyone is just miserable. At times it seems like a satire post Brexit Britain or maybe a more general critique of fascism, but I think at it's heart there's a love story about a morally ambiguous rogue and the thinly-veiled-bipolar warrior he just wants to help by fundamentally changing her with magic. What could go wrong. Art is appropriately dreamy, I think this series has a fair bit of potential.

None

In truth, I probably started this last year sometime. Read the first issue, and put it down. I picked it up again because I was looking for the bookmark that was in it. Glad I did. It subverts some of the tropes you think it’s just going to regurgitate with a pretty interesting story soaked in even more interesting world building and backstory.

That and the fantastic artwork made this 5-stars for me.
