Shy Miwa has always dreamed of finding love, but living in small-town Japan made finding the right match difficult—especially since she likes girls! Even going away to college didn’t seem to help, until one day her outgoing classmate Saeko suggests they might as well start dating each other since it’s not like either of them has other options.
At first it seems like things won't work out as their personalities clash and misunderstandings abound. But when their casual friendship starts to become something more, Miwa begins to wonder—can a pragmatic proposal lead to true love?

This is actually my second time reading this! Now that I can borrow the whole series from my sibling, might as well start from the top.
I really love the premise here of two people getting together before actually falling in love. I like the nuances of discussing boundaries and figuring out each other’s quirks in early dating. The art is also very, very pleasant to look at!
My only gripe is that I’m not the biggest fan of Saeko’s personality, especially with how it pushes at Miwa. We’ll see how that develops, I guess!

Uh... idk. 2,5 stars.
I do like how it’s different from other romance stories and that they’re talking about stuff. And especially that the author is acknowledging all sides (horny and not-ready characters). Usually in Yuri stories the partner is always very understanding of the “virgin” or the one that just isn’t ready for more stuff. It’s cool that here’s a horny character that says they can wait but actually can’t. I like the fact that the author is including it, but at the same time I hate it. It reminds me too much of hetero relationships.
I also like how they didn’t just both fell in love at first sight, but are both slowly getting to know the other. They did decide to date pretty quick, but still realized reality is different and relationships are hard. I do truly love how the author shows how hard it can be …

I do truly love how the author shows how hard it can be to keep a relationship up, and especially that both parties need to equally fight for it. I truly appreciate it.
At the same time, I just don’t like Saeko much and how horny she is. I guess I just prefer a partner that is more understanding about being afraid of the first time... Characters like these are rather annoying, which is one of the reasons I don’t like reading/watching hetero. I also hate how she never really listens to Miwa. Whenever Miwa is serious and wants to talk about her feelings, Saeko usually cracks a joke or laughs. I get that sometimes it’s awkward when you’re suddenly really deep, but isn’t love supposed to be deep? It’s annoying to read about such a character that can’t talk properly, unless it’s about funny stuff.
I will continue reading bc, like said, I do appreciate how the author writes and what she includes. It just might be a total pain in the ass, since sex is a pretty complex topic that – imo – you shouldn’t joke about.
