Disjointed, kind of silly
3 stars
I enjoyed the first third of this book. After that, it kind of got a bit silly and I wasn't buying into the story as much as in the first part.

It has the Clair North touch but not as moving as some of her better novels such as [b:Touch|22314178|Touch|Claire North|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1415977617l/22314178.SY75.jpg|41706739].
There were so many things about this I didn't like. I didn't care for the writing style, I didn't care for the story, I didn't care for the weird narration. I really liked [b:The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August|20706317|The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August|Claire North|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1407712314s/20706317.jpg|25807847] (even though I had issues with the ending) so I thought this would be interesting, especially since it was a set of 3 books published within something like three weeks of each other, but I was wrong. I actually disliked this so much I tried to return it to Amazon, but I had waited too long and couldn't. There goes my dollar.
