It was not a bad read, plot flowed kind of quickly and there was action involved. Things do seem to be picking up, plot-wise and I do find myself intrigued with some of the newly introduced characters, namely Tasha and Adrian. I do not find myself too much a fan of Rose.. though hopefully she grows on me. I also do not find myself a fan of Dimitri (at times), but I think that's in part due to his relationship with Rose and how he deals with it -- or does not really deal with it, perhaps. I have no idea. I do like most of the rest of the cast, however, especially Christian.

Second book of Vampire Academy. Meet the Strogoi, who are the bad branch of vampires: they became Strogoi either by being changed by a Strogoi, or because they voluntarily changed by killing someone. And now they attack the Moroi royal families, because they can, essentially. At the same time, Rose is investigating what makes Lissa different. I've been somewhat annoyed by the very obvious clues that are scattered everywhere and by the time it takes the characters to put everything together. Still readable.
