Monolithic Undertow

An incredible collection of music all connected by the warmth of the drone.

After a while, as expected, the book becomes very “namedroppy”, I would have preferred if the discourse was more on what maker something drone than the other way around, even if that meant having less artists or more pages.

I did discover a shitload of music nonetheless, which is great, and the passion for some of the cited bands is contagious.

A strong start as it sweeps wide and connects to things beyond music, but later on it just morphs into a laundry list of “necessary” album reviews. There’s plenty to learn within, though.
