The text is awfully sure of itself, but I guess that's necessary for a text claiming to hold the secrets of the universe. That said, its claims are not nearly as outrageous as one might guess. I think some things are a bit of a stretch. There is some retroactive molding and interpretation of centuries old thoughts and concepts to match modern science, but nothing too unforgivable. It presents a kind of "perfect system of understanding of the universe" concept that feels a bit dated for our own era but very progressive for its time.
