Good book although, strange as this is to say for a 600+ page book, the ending was too abrupt, for me.

Dominion is a 2012 alternate history novel by British author C. J. Sansom. It is a political thriller set in the early 1950s against the backdrop of a Britain that has become a satellite state of Nazi Germany. The point of divergence from actual history is that Lord Halifax, rather than Winston Churchill, succeeded Neville Chamberlain as Prime Minister in May 1940.

I don't like 'alternative histories' so that made me less likely to like this novel. However with most of it is was very atmospheric, very clever and rattled along as a good thriller ought to. At times made me think about some of the characters who appear who are actual people, and their role the writer ascribes to them....
The stuff on Churchill and Chartwell was straining the bounds of credulity though.
