Review of 'The whole-brain child' on Goodreads
4 stars
Quick examples and context for applying some brain-focused psychology and philosophy in how we respond to children to calmly help them towards an integrated mental approach to their world. (It's good straightforward advice that applies to responding to adults who are caught up in one of the imbalanced mental states described too, but much of the focus is on understanding what may not yet be developed/integrated in a child's mind. Each chapter includes a page or two on applying the insights to yourself.)
