First third was interesting giving the basis or process that led these US founders to pursue forming an American Nation to replace the federation of states post-revolution, and the coordination and maneuvering to bring the Constitutional Convention about in way favorable to nationhood. But the book drags from there, with an uninspired recounting of the convention itself which I could care less about.
