Crime kan ook té cozy zijn. Kabbelend geneuzel. En veel te Brits om voor Scandinavische thriller pastiche door te gaan.

I have tried, some people rave about this author… I find his stuff plodding and very stereotypical. I kept expecting the pace to quicken but no, it’s delivered in a slow and meandering style that has no bite to it at all.

Maybe it's just because I took a fairly long break during it – but of course, part of the reason that I took a long break was it didn't grab me –, but the entire book seem to have no point and little purpose. I did not like this book. At all. I don't know that there was anything particularly nasty about it, but I feel that I just wasted A LOT of time. Sigh.
