Vivid imagery but the stories blend a little too well into one if you’re not careful. That said, there were still some exquisite bits that really stuck out—‘Prima Belladona’ is the best short piece writing I’ve read in a while... Just wished these ideas were developed a bit further, it feels like reading one of those ‘writing prompt’ blogs which throw out the most enticing fictional worlds but leave someone else to do the work. I guess in that way Ballard could be credited for evoking inspiration (at the very least).
