My Body

I knew nothing about this book going in, but devoured it in two sessions. The author's frankness about her industry and career made it an incredibly compelling read, and really changed my understanding of what it is to be a famous woman in our culture.

This isn't a book about feminism or "empowerment," however, it does illuminate exactly why individualism and "personal responsibility" masquerading as feminism will never save us.

I think the book almost gets there at points, but not quite.

Anyway, enough of my thoughts! Read this by Andrea Long Chu
