Doubting if I will round this up to 4. Maybe. It would be a round up to 4 but I HATE reset buttons in movies or books.
The books is very well-written as always with Seanan McGuire. She uses cheap tricks, the easiest and lowest of the low and easy to broadcast that impeding sense of doom that keeps you hooked while reading. She does that absolutely well, even though it feels cheap.
I just love the story too much to care about that.
Over the years and books one really starts to care for all Toby's friends. This book abuses that feeling. That makes the book awesome for a looooong while... until the end.

It left a really bad taste in my mouth. I felt cheated.
But I know Seanan's writing by now. The next book will make up for it, probably :-D
