marksutherland reviewed Fables by Bill Willingham (Fables, #15)

The Snow/Red back story and the fuel with mister dark are fine tales in themselves. The problem is in the details: we're supposed to accept that rose just needed to pull herself up by her bootstraps from the depth of an abysmal depression (during which she was raped by her ex). Snow's interaction with Spratt is abhorrent and I'm not sure I trust Bill to punish her for it, it seems only to serve to push the plot forward into the next arc. As these grievances build up it feels like I'm closer to giving up on the series altogether, which is a shame a it is otherwise great stuff.
