For the most part, I really like this book. It's a werewolf-hunting Irish nun; what's not to love? My only complaint, such as it is, is that I like "The Wreck of the Mary Byrd" so much as a standalone that I kind of wanted it to end there. I liked parts two and three, but not as much as "The Wreck of the Mary Byrd." And the main thing I loved about "The Wreck of the Mary Byrd" was the narrative structure, with all the different voices telling us, "I'll tell you what happened..." There's not really any way she could sustain that through the entire book, especially since she kills off several of the voices in Mary Byrd. Woe.
